Jazz &… Amsterdam

Join us for pt. 2 of our Roots and Routes Gala Series as we travel to Amsterdam to explore the past, present and future of jazz in our sister city across the pond. This show will feature three bands, each with a different approach to music: SMANDEM, Benjamin Herman Trio ft. Oscar Jan Hoogland, and Fuensanta Méndez Ensamble Grande.  Following the performance, we will have a panel discussion with the musicians discussing the theme of Roots and Routes of jazz in their community.

This program is presented in partnership with our friends at New Amsterdam Jazz with a special thanks to NAJ directors Isla Van Hout and Tamar Guttmann. Additional thanks to the Bimhuis for use of their venue.

This event is presented on the Museum FACEBOOK and YOUTUBE page.
