In Memoriam: Tommy LiPuma
March 14, 2017
Board Chairman Timothy L. Porter and The National Jazz Museum in Harlem salute the legacy and mourn the loss of music producer Tommy LiPuma, who graced the museum’s board for several years. From his beginnings as a saxophonist in his native Cleveland through his ascent to creating hit recordings that tens of millions of people loved and then leading major recording corporations, Tommy LiPuma always kept his passion for jazz and the people who create it. We remember him as a warm, caring friend of the museum, and send condolences to his loved ones and friends.
