‘Lady Bird’

We celebrate the anniversary of a great recording today – composer/pianist Tadd Dameron’s  Lady Bird. It’s nothing short of perfection, from the ensemble playing through the solos (especially trumpeter Fats Navarro’s chorus), it’s notable for the general feeling of beauty from beginning to end.
